South Boston

Welcome to South Boston

Hip community with vibrant energy and a walkable city center

South Boston is very much reflective of its history and is known for its mix of old and new. Much of the residential streets have remained the same over the years and feature many decades-old historic row houses. In addition to its traditional Irish pubs, a range of bustling cafes and restaurants have recently opened in the area. Plenty of parks and green spaces are popular spots for locals to get away from it all.

The locals take great pride in their history and culture, so you can often find murals and art installations around the neighborhood that commemorate its past. Additionally, several annual festivals and events celebrate Southie’s culture, such as St. Patrick's Day celebrations and the Annual South Boston Parade.
